We’ve discussed electric vehicles before, but none like this…It seems more and more car companies are investing their time, money, and energy in the electric vehicle craze. And it looks like it may be a trend that’s going to be sticking around. At least, that’s what Jaguar is expecting, with the announcement of the Jaguar I-Pace.
The Jaguar I-Pace Concept was recently unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The newest edition turned heads and caused praise for the brand at the show this past month. It’s modern design boasts a sports car feel with a crossover design. With seating for 5, there’s room for all. The engine is expected to bring 400 horsepower with capabilities of 0-60 mph in just 4 seconds. The 516 lb-ft of torque are a nice touch, along with a possible 220 plus miles of range from the lithium-ion battery.
The interior of the Jaguar I-Pace makes a stunning debut and sets the bar high for the rest of the future competition. It offers not one, not two, but four touch display screens across the dash. Two of these screens take form on the center console, while another is featured as a head-up display for driving information. A panoramic roof allows the outside to influence the interior design.
Our sights are set for 2018 in hopes the plans for the current release date hold fast. The I-Pace offers the latest in performance and “green” technology. It’s bold. It’s innovative. And it’s beautifully executed. For us, 2018 couldn’t come soon enough.
